is an affordable trip planning software designed to work with recreational GPS
receivers from Garmin. Unlike other trip planning software products, Trimble
Adventure Planner provides topographic, aerial and street maps covering the
entire US and gives its users a unique ability to plan trips online and share
trips with friends and family through a community web site.

Using the Trimble Adventure Planner software, you can create a trip with routes
or waypoints uploaded from your Garmin GPS receiver. Once uploaded, you can
turn a simple route or collection of waypoints into a complete trip, by adding
points of interest, photos and notes to your trip. Trimble Adventure Planner
can also send trips you’ve created to your GPS unit.
And, you can share your trip with members of the Trimble Outdoors community, or
search for trips enjoyed by other members of the Trimble Outdoors community,
and save them for use on your Garmin GPS unit.
Import: Importing data from your data transfer capable Garmin
GPS unit inserts the routes and associated waypoints into an Adventure Planner
trip. Once uploaded, you can modify the trip by adding points of interest,
photos and notes, view a trip report or trip elevation graph.
Export: Trimble Adventure Planner can also send complete
routes, including all waypoints, as well as points of interest (as
route-independent waypoints) created in the Adventure Planner to data transfer
capable Garmin GPS receivers.

(baud) rates, and interface configuration requirements.
