Handling a track on a trail used twice

This might be a bit nit picky, but in drawing a track with the point and click function, how does one handle laying a track on the out and back portion of a loop trail? For example, trail begins at TH, goes several miles, at point B, then the loop beings. Loop goes for say 10 miles, comes back to point B, then retraces the several miles to TH. Is there a way to connect it back into the existing track or should I just overlap the track back to the TH? Just seeing if there's a way to keep it clean looking. Thanks in advance... |

A track that looks like a lollipop on a stick? :-)
If you are following a trail, and that trail is listed on the street map view, then chances are you can just use the "Follow Streets" mode of the track editor.
So for example, looking at the trip you've created, the Follow Streets mode doesn't work on the 'Duck Lake Rd' at the start of your track. But once you get to 'Center Rd', or any other road/trail drawn in white, the Follow Streets mode works great.
Other than that, no, we don't have any special features to handle out and back tracks.
(For best results with the Follow Streets mode, I typically click just before and after each intersection. Not directly on an intersection. Helps to guide it just the way you want it. Check it out and mess around with it for a while. Let us know if you have any other questions.) |

| Thanks for the info and sorry for late reply, haven't had a chance to get back and finish this. The lollipop track is exactly what I was speaking of. I was just curious if there was a way to clean it up. Overlap will probably be the way to go. Thanks again... |
