bill2750 Posts: 52	TO is not fully compatible with HTC Eris Android phone Posted: 17 Feb 10 9:34 PM I posted about problems getting images to transfer and other media to upload to TO website and also images not displaying properly on the phone. It seems Trimble Support is unable or unwilling to fix the problem. The suggested remedy is to ask the phone manufacturer for a firmware update!!! It seems that TO should allow users the opportunity to try the software on the device first to see if it works but that's not how it works. Buy first and then find out if it works and in the meantime, Trimble gets your money and if it doesn't work, too bad, "Ask your phone manufacturer for new firmware". That's just bad business. It's not the money, 10 bucks is not going to break the bank, but the idea that potentially hundreds or thousands of users could be out the cost of the software is not acceptable. Publish on the website the fact it does not work on the HTC Eris runing Android 1.5 so potential buyers can make an informed decision. UPDATE 2-23-10: A new version was posted that took care of these issues. Perhaps a trial version will be available sometime in the future allowing folks to try before you buy. [Reply][Quote]

If it's possible to solve this problem from our end, we will. This is not a simple fix, so please be patient while we seek a resolution. A firmware update was suggested as something you can check for in the meantime. Our final answer to you is never going to be "too bad."
