Question regarding (un)supported phones
Posted: 20 Jun 09 4:37 PM
When I looked at the supported phones for Sprint, neither the Samsung Instinct nor LC Lotus show as supported. (I also noticed at the bottom that the page doesn't seem to have been updated since 2008)

I was just wondering if y'all are working on supporting these? Or if I am just out of luck?

We are working on supporting the Instinct, but I haven't heard of any plans for the Lotus. I have no timeframe on when our applications will be released for that phone. Sorry, but thanks for the interest.

No, I'm sorry. We have no immediate plans at this time to support the Palm Pre.

Has that changed at all in the few months it's been since this post?

The Lotus was recently submitted to sprint, and should be listed on their deck any day with all applications. Once we verify the apps are live on that device we will update our supported phones page.

We have also submitted Trimble Outdoors and Geocache Navigator for the Instinct s30 (not the original instinct though)

We don't have any updates on the Palm Pre. The Pre runs Palm's Web OS which isn't compatible with the programs that run on other sprint phones, so its significantly more work to support that device. That line of devices is on our radar, but we probably won't be able to provide any good updates on it since its a new platform.

Thanks.
Bob
