Problems when Installed Blackberry App World Update

After I installed the Blackberry App World update that was issued today AllSport GPS was no longer installed on my Blackberry Bold 9000. It seems that installing the update has removed AllSport from the phone. Is this an error with Blackberry App World? I have reinstalled the "try and buy" version but how do I get the license key without having to pay again?

That's disappointing... hopefully you were just a fluke, and this doesn't happen to everyone :-(. I'll email you to get your BlackBerry PIN and I can use that to generate you a new key.

Gary,
One way to verify whether or not the application has been installed on the phone, is by performing the following: 1. Select the "Options" icon (wrench) 2. Select "Advanced Options" 3. Select "Applications" 4. Search the application list for "AllSport GPS"
Did you the aforementioned steps? I would like to help narrow down the cause of this problem, so that other users will not have the same trouble.
Did you install a new theme? Sometimes, when you install a new theme, it changes the layout of where some icons are located.

I didn't check the application list, I only noticed that the icon was missing from where it should have been so its possible that the app was still installed on the phone however when I installed the app again from App World it certainly seemed to go through the installation process. I didn't install anything apart from the Blackberry World update, no new themes or anything like that.
I've resolved this now with Bob Wold by reinstalling and getting a new license key.
One thing I did notice was that I now seem to have a lot more free application memory than before I installed the update however all my applications still seem to be working so not sure where that's come from - as long as the phone and the apps still work!

If anyone else out there has run into the same issue after installing an App World update, please post here and let us know. Hopefully this was a fluke for Gary, and isn't an issue with App Worlds most recent update. |

I have had the Allsport trial version for a few days and it is set to expire in 5 hours. I read on this site that it was to be purchased through the Blackberry Apps site. I purchased through Blackberry apps and the programme downloaded and installed again. I was given a Licence key which I copied but it was lost when the Bold 900 was rebooted,
I started up Allsport after reboot and I still have 5 hours left. I looked for a place to enter the licence key but didn't find it. Of course, I don't have the licence key anyway, as it was not included in the email from Paypal or the email from Blackberry App World. It appears that I have just donated $20 to one of these two businesses.
Any ideas? |
