Droping/loosing, not finding of signal

I enjoy the GPS but the one most important problem that Im having is for some reason the GPS is only tracking half the ride. at first I thought I truned it off by mistake but it keep on happen on long my rides. On one ride around south mountain it could not find a signal for the first 17 miles of the ride. Good thing that I reset my bike computer. I planned on using this as a training device but at this time im frustrated with it. I rode in the Laveen centr ride last sunday and it only tract The first 33.6 miles out of 62 miles.. I would of loved to see what my avg was for the entire course along and the map/elev.
Is this a common problem or is it my application. LaVerne 602-565-1839 |

LaVerne,
I'm happy to see more phoenix users!
What version of AllSport GPS are you using? Also, what phone model are you running on? I hope we can help you out and get this tuned up to work better for you. I'm mostly into running and backpacking so I don't know much about 60 mile rides, but we should be able to get this figured out for you :-)

So that appear to be version 2.x right?
If so, I'd like to help you get onto 3.x and see if the latest stuff runs better for you. The 3.x version isn't on Handmark yet, so you'd either need to buy it from BlackBerry App World, or I could give it to you via email since I see you've paid for the application already at Handmark.
I can email you on the email account that's you entered when you registered if you want to get you setup.
Thanks.

Great I've sent you an email let me know if you have any additional issues, and also, let me know if this seems to solve your problem. If not, we'll see if we can reproduce the issue and try to get it fixed up for you.
Thanks. Bob |

LaVerne,
What is the exact model number of your phone? In an email you sent Bob, it appeared to me that you were stuck at either the log in page or the register page because you could not find an option to select after all the fields have been filled in. Is it right? To show available option(s) on these pages, you need to press the Menu key located to the left of the trackball on your handset. If you are logging in, You need to enter the username and password that you use to log in to the trimbleoutdoors.com.
Please let me know if the suggestions work for you or not. Thanks. |

LaVerne: It was a pleasure talking to you today and getting you going on this. You mentioned some friends that had reached out to our customer support and hadn't be helped yet, please have them contact us on the Forums, and I'll make sure that we get them going. If you can provide me their names, I can also talk to our support team and try to find out what happened there. Helping our Customers is really important to us.
For anyone else that finds the Registration/Login confusing, the solution here was to select Menu > Register or Login. LaVerne was expecting to have a button when we have the "Register" option hidden under the menu. We will plan to add a button in the future.
Thanks! Bob |
