Unable to open HTTP connection to use trial licence
Posted: 13 Feb 10 5:15 PM
Just downloaded & installed Allsport from the UK BB app store onto my Bold 9000, and am unable to start the trial licence to get it working.

Comes up with: "to.fk: Unable to open HTTP connection. Please try again. (BMUI1)"

Tried rebooting the phone, enabling wifi, all the other apps (ie browser) all find the web fine.

Should probably also mention I'm with o2 in the UK, on the SIMplicity plan with BB internet enabled.

Any ideas

A few ideas, though I'm not that familiar with them.

Verify your Blackberry does have an APN address - please select the following to verify your device is setup:
Select: Settings -> Options -> Advanced -> TCP -> verify you see an address for your APN. You may have to telephone your carrier to tell them to get the Access Point Name (APN) added to your BlackBerry mobile phone account. If they say it already exists, tell them to load up the records anyway, just to double-check.

Try to modify the security permissions of the application:
Go to options->advanced option-> applications select your application click edit default permissions and allow everything (if you can).

Kanga, please download the update in app world and try again.

We were relying on your carriers default networking to work, but we have released an update that forces the networking to go through a BlackBerry server that should allow this to work for many more users now.

Let me know if this update works for you.

Thanks!
