I believe your only option would be to use an external Bluetooth GPS adapter. We have had others report success using our application along with an external Bluetooth GPS puck like the Holux Slim240, for example. My AllSport GPS does not work as it tries to find the gps sat. It is my understangind that verizon has unlocked the GPS for 3rd parties. Anyone have any ideas on how to make this work? [Reply][Quote]

In the mean time, I have heard that if you get a GPS fix in the BlackBerry Maps app, then our applications will get GPS after that. This is what they said: "Under Options, Advanced Settings, GPS, he needs to select "Location On". Then hit the back arrow and save changes. Out of the box, the devices are set to 911 only for the GPS setting" I made sure these changes were made but it still just goes to "GPS Searching". I cannot find any GPS FIX to install. We also tried this a few months ago and it didn't work. i had heard from a user that if they launched BlackBerry Maps, and got a fix, then the GPS would start working in our application, but I haven't verified that. -Bob [Reply][Quote]
