My brother-in-law and I did this trail with one night spent at campsite 1.  The difficulty is set to moderate because of a few up and down elevation changes but this trail is perfect for hikers who already have a few hikes under their belt.  It represents the perfect picture of the Ozarks.  Mixed hardwoods and pines cover a rocky granite terrain.  If you have weak ankles skip the low hikers for this one and a trekking pole or two are always a blessing.  There is water available but you will have to hike off trail to the lake.  The trail is white blazed and the campsites are blue blazed and include tent pads and a fire ring.  All in all I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for a little Ozark adventure.
Bonus.... it's FREE to hike and camp!
