Climb over 3000' on this thigh-busting 8-miler past the popular "Y" into the spring-fed pines, aspens and meadows of Slide and Slate Canyons. To Trailhead: From Provo 900 E bear E onto 820 N; 820 N curves N; bear E onto Oak Cliffs Rd; bear R onto Terrace Dr; Follow Signs to "Y" Mountain Parking Lot.

Cottonwoods

Cut off trail to bottom of "Y"

Open Meadow

Top of Slide Canyon

Trail leaves aspens to an opening. Bear right to Slate Canyon. Left to Rock Canyon Trail. Year-round spring 100' E of 3-way under a dogwood.

Trail into Canyon.

Y Mountain Trail Head

From popular "Y" Mountain trailhead with paved parking and restrooms, head E through gate and follow switchbacks to the "Y."
