Note: Little Mulberry Park opens at Sunrise, and closes at Sunset.
Approzimately 12+ miles of trails can be combinationed and make for a never ending array of opportunities to hike. Some trails are wide, and paved that go around the two lakes. Some are dirt and gravel and wind through the woods. Some trails weave through the meadows. One trail goes to the top of a huge hill with far off views of the N Georgia mountains that can be seen on clearer days. One of the more interesting aspects of this trail system are the "curious" stone piles (hundreds of them) scattered around the park. The exact meaning of the piles in unknown, but they have a "sacred" feel to them much like you would expect from a burial area or a religous center.
Make sure to visit both lakes, the meadow, ravine and the hill top if your visit allows. During the cold month of Dec during the week, we passed few hikers on these trails.
TO TRAILHEAD: Use your car GPS to navigate to 3855 Fence Road, Auburn,GA or 3900 Hog Mountain Road Auburn. Either address will take you to the two park entrances.
