Hike along the part of the California Coastal Trail from the picturesque Land's End to the historical Sutro Baths. This four mile out and back provides awesome views of the coastal inlet of San Francisco Bay and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to the historical ruins of the Sutro Baths.

Arrive at the Land's End vista where on a clear day will provide a view looking straign into the gate and the Golden Gate Bridge. Reminants of turn of the century gun emplacements. Head back to Coastal Trail by retracing route back down to the beach or the narrow foot path on the ridge.

A concrete overlook is across from the steps up to the memorial and provides views of the rocky coastline and the site of many shipwrecks. The trail here is wide and made of asphalt letting you know you are getting close to civilization.

Trailhead. Park along the street and pick up the trail at the well marked Land's End trailhead. The trail follows the northern coastline of the SF Bay inlet. Views of the Golden Gate bridge from outside the gate are a highlight on clear days. The dirt and gravel trail starts out fairly level and gently winds under the canopy of Cypress and Eucalyptus trees. The trail is popular with runners but, other than the Eagle Point overlook, it is not overrun by tourists.

Spur - Take the Mile Rock Beach trail down to Mile Rock Beach and then up to the Land's End lookout.
