Started at South Cobb drive in Smyrna.  Nice 40 mile ride to Rockmart.  My wife met me at Frankie's Italian Restaurant where we had a great meal and then loaded up and drove back from there.  Fist 10 miles pretty congested part of the trail with lots of walkers and baby buggies.  Then it started to thin out.  Last 20 miles fewer people on the trail and most were cyclist.  Fist part of trail is very flat but then it starts to climb.  Not steep, still an easy ride but a constant grade up for about the last 20 miles into Rockmart.  I am sure it continues on a slope upward past there.  Be sure to stop at Frankie's.  Frankie is a great lady and the food is wonderful.  Anyone coming from the Silver Comet trail gets to sign the wall.  Frankie will also take your picture if you like and post it on the wall.  Frankie's is only a block off the trail and has a bike rack right in front.
