At 12804 ft. the Middle Teton is the third highest peak in the Teton Range. The South West Coulior route is a little over 14 miles round trip that can be completed in about 12 hours. During the late summer the SW Coulior route can be done without ropes or Ice climbing equipment and only moderate rock "scrambling" skills.

Bolder Field

The train ends at the beginning of a bolder field of large bolders. Follow the carns through the bolder filed to pick up the trail on the other side.

False ridge

There are many false saddles along this section. Do not attempt to accend the Middle until you can see Iceflow Lake below the actual saddle.

Slide area

This section has a very steep slide area made up of loose rock. A mis-step here would lead to a very nasty slide down.
