This clockwise loop begins at the Warsaw Town Hall building (30-miles south of Minneapolis/St. Paul) and heads north along County Highway 24. The route's first 8-miles are a downhill warm-up winding between cornfields and woodlands leading toward the town of Cannon Falls.
A brief climb skirts the southern edge of the city and the loop turns south at mile 10, descending into a heavily wooded valley. This descent marks the beginning of an uphill grind through wide-open fields and farms—this climb features in the annual Nature Valley Grand Prix, a state-wide, six-stage cycling race held each June. Cross County Highway 1 for a short, fun, valley dip near mile 17 before the route before turns west at County Highway 9 Blvd.
The route levels off until reaching the edge of Sogn Valley near mile 24. Stop to appreciate the view from the valley edge before speeding downhill into the tiny community of Sogn and gearing up for a mile-long climb. The last mile of the route is a flat, easy cool-down that leads back to the parking area at the Warsaw Town Hall.
