Up and 4:45am and started for Welches,OR and finally found start after 2 deer in the road.A visible breathe of a day climb to Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood..beautiful.Great downhill(>50mph!)before Barlow and Bennet Passes then long downhills and aerobars through flats.Head and sidewinds on eastside of mountain.~8mi. of chipseal was enough to forget about the century ride.Great food and music and freebies at the end.This was the last Summit to Surf though..next year closer to Portland?
