Sedona - Hangover Trail: Munds Wagon Trail to Cow Pies to Hangover Loop

This 8.6-mile jaunt is one of the best hikes near Sedona. Only recently, temporary signs started popping up. Sad in a way. It roves the slickrock and the spectacular Hangover route across the canyon and far above Midgley Bridge.

The narrative for this loop was published in the Arizona Daily Sun.

Don't hike this route when there is ice on the North side, the Hangover part.

You can tell some about the snow/ice on the North side by taking a look at the route from near Midgely Bridge on Hwy 89A.

it's the Hangover Trail.  Stunning.  It starts at the Huckaby TH and goes up the Munds Wagon Road to the Cow Pies, then back W on the other side of the gulch (against The Mittens, on the S side of the Mittens) to the big saddle, through this saddle - then West above Midgley Bridge, contouring to the West saddle, through this saddle, then on a good use trail back to the Munds Wagon Trail (now 1.7 miles from the TH at this junction).

A more complete description will appear in the Arizona Daily Sun.  I'll include this information when the article is published.
