Moderate hike up north terminus of the North Fork Mountain Trail. Trail well maintained with light sand in places. Plenty of tree cover. Breezes more prominent toward top of mountain. Beautiful overlooks once on top of the ridge. Trail to Chimney tops could be missed if heading south, markings more prominent from the south. Landis trail back down to road to complete 12 mile loop. Landis trail more direct than north terminus, and covered with shale rock.

Trail well marked with blue blazes throughout.

Great hike, but heed warnings and bring water.
