The route begins inland through forest and farmland, passes through the village of Bliss and west to the Lake Michigan shoreline, then south to to the Tunnel of Trees.
This ride begins in Harbor Springs where there is plenty of parking. Or you can begin at Petoskey State Park and join the route from the bike path along MI-119. There are a couple of steep climbs (see points of interest), but most of the route is flat to moderately rolling. For a shorter route, see Tunnel of Trees and Michigan North Country.
