Starts flat through sonoran desert flora, past an abandoned campground  on a well seen trail.  Just as the trees seem like they are taking over the trail, it starts going up the side of the canyon.  The trail starts getting steeper and harder to see. Look for the cairns as you scramble up the slippery flat rocks-the trickest part of the climb,  A false summit offers a good view and makes for a resting spot before proceeding up the final stretch of the trail.  At the top, the other side of the Superstition Mountains can be seen along with a bit of water down the ravine. It took us about 4 hours round trip with lunch and time to explore at the top.
