This half metric century ride features mostly suburban bike lane roads. Newly opened roads are highlighted by this route. There is one SAG stop. The distance to the SAG is 16.98 miles and the distance from there to the end is 12.65 miles. The total distance is 29.64 miles.
The route has very litle climbing. The notable exception is the farily steep but reasonably short climb through Thunderbird Park about 3 miles into the ride. The SAG stop is on Deer Valley just west of Cave Creek Road where Deer Valley Road crosses the CAP canal. With only a little more than 12 miles to complete the loop, the route follows bike lanes almost the entire remainder of the route. It may feel level, or maybe even slightly uphill, but you really are dropping about 270 feet as you coast into the finish.
