The Earl Cardot Eastside Overland Trail extends 19 miles, running N/S linking 3 large state land areas. Lean-tos, latrines, firepits and tables are at campsites along the overland trails. The trails are well marked. Hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and mountain biking are permitted on the trail.

At 2000 feet above sea level there are some nice ponds with very active populations of beavers and muskrats, The ponds are stocked with catfish (bullheads) and pan fish such as Yellow Perch and blue gills.
