A great day hike or overnighter through dense Live Oak and Sable palm wilderness. Pass through marsh areas where gator sightings are possible. Other inhabitants are deer, hog, turkey  and rare birds.

Take the short interpretive trail to the right at the main trailhead to learn more about what may be experienced on the main hike. I was told the trail is 12 miles long so a GPS or Compass and map is recommended, especially if secondary trail hikes are planned.
