Competitive and recreational cyclists alike will enjoy the Thursday Night Ride lead by Bozeman's local Gallatin Alpine Sports/Intrinsik Architecture Cycling Team. This weekly summer ride (open to everyone) starts at Rocky Mountain Roasting Company at 6:00 p.m. and offers a chance to ride and learn from some of Montana's top cyclists.
Although the route and pace vary from week to week, come prepared for a 20- to 40-miler. (On select days, the team offers clinics along the route for bike handling, sprinting, or cornering.) The ride typically starts out at a relaxed pace, offering cyclists a chance to warm up. If the team is recovering from a tough race, or saving up for an upcoming race, the pace may stay mellow. However, if the ride turns into a hammerfest, dropped riders can form their own groups or regroup with the team at various points along the route.
