The GuideWorx GPS™ application transforms a mobile phone into a powerful handheld GPS device for both on- and off-road navigation. With GuideWorx GPS on a GPS-enabled phone, you are now able to get accurate, voice prompted turn-by-turn driving directions to assist in finding your destination, combined with off-road navigation and rich point of interest information to plan your outdoor activities. To plan your off-road recreation, you can access a national database of points of interests while on-the go, and the free PC mapping software offers you the option to pre-plan trips that can be sent wirelessly to your GPS-enabled phone.

The GuideWorx GPS application is to be offered as a monthly service from Sprint.

The GuideWorx GPS software has a wide range of features, and supports many scenarios, both on-road and off-road. Some of the more typical scenarios are:

I want driving directions to a local address

• Enter the address directly into the phone using the Plan Trip feature
• Get audible driving directions to get to your destination using the on-road navigation feature

• Just wait - the software will recalculate the route and provide you with updated instructions

I want to find a place to eat nearby

• Find a restaurant of your choice close to where you are using the Local Search feature
• Get driving directions to get there using the on-road navigation feature

I am driving and discover a dirt road I want to explore

• Mark your current location using the Add Point feature
• Create a breadcrumb trail as you move using the Tracking feature
• Get back to where you started using the Navigate Off-Road feature

I want to conveniently enter a number of addresses to drive to tomorrow

• Use the Download Trip feature on the web site to send the hike you like directly to your phone or - if you want to customize it - to the free Adventure Planner PC-based trip planning and mapping software included with your subscription.
