Getting started with the Trimble GPS Pack - instructions for new users
Once you have purchased and downloaded the Trimble GPS Pack to you phone, you need to register and activate the applications. Please view the GPS Pack Quick Start Guide and other documentation for detailed instructions. Brief instructions are as follows:
Activating the AllSport GPS software
When you start AllSport GPS for the first time on your phone, you need to personalize the application and set up access to your web account/training log from the phone:
- Select the Settings / Login Info menu option.
- Select New Web Account.
- Enter your phone number and a password and press OK. This will be your phone password for accessing your web account / training log from the phone. Important: the phone password may only contain numeric characters 0,1,2...9.
- Select the Settings / Units menu option to set the distance units and press OK.
- Select the Settings / Calories menu option to enter your weight (needed to calculate the number of calories you burn) and press OK.
After that, you need to set up access to your web account/training log from your PC:
- Visit www.AllSportGPS.com and click the Sign Up link in the top right corner of the screen.
- Enter the required information. This includes your web password for accessing your web account / training log from your PC using a web browser. For simplicity, you may want to make it the same as your phone password.
- On the next screen, enter your phone number and phone password, and click Continue with Phone Info.
Activating the Geocache Navigator software
When you run the Geocache Navigator software for the first time, you will be prompted to choose a PIN. After entering your PIN you will need to connect your phone to a Geocaching.com user account. Go to www.GeocacheNavigator.com and select Getting Started / Instructions for new users to learn how to do this.
Activating the Trimble Outdoors software
When you run the Trimble Outdoors software for the first time, you will be prompted to activate the software. To do this:
- Press Yes. The Activate page appears.
- Enter your 10-digit phone number. Do not use spaces or dashes.
- Press Actvt.
- When the Complete message appears, press OK.
- Go to www.TrimbleOutdoors.com/register.aspx to register for your free online account and to download the free Trimble Adventure Planner mapping software.
